New president for the Radiothon des Roses

“In 2009, at the age of 44, I learned that I had breast cancer. It’s a shock when you think it’s okay.
I did not give up … I fought and I won this fight.
In November 2016, I received a 2nd diagnosis of breast cancer. I rolled up my sleeves and fought. I am now on my 1st birthday without cancer.
After my second diagnosis, I had to go to the Chaleur Regional Hospital several times for my treatments, my consultation appointments and my follow-ups. In this difficult time, the good care I received from doctors, nurses and hospital staff was able to reassure me and they certainly helped to heal me.
We all know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer. It is a disease that attacks anyone without discrimination: the young, the elderly, the rich, the poor, etc. Cancer does not discriminate; he strikes everywhere, no matter where we are. It can affect us wherever we live and whatever language we speak.
Being the president of the Radiothon des Roses gives me the chance to help others who have to fight this terrible disease.
The Radiothon des Roses allows us to purchase specialized equipment related to cancer in general so that we have the most care and services possible in our region, at our hospital.
The Radiothon des Roses is our home first! “
